The most distinctive participants of Varaždin’s gastronomic scene have built their culinary identity. They are professionals with a high level of feeling for the harmony of flavors and at the same time a strong commitment to creative and research cooking. Both crowned with the title of state champion in culinary arts, medals from the Culinary Olympics and the World Culinary Cup, this duo is undoubtedly the most awarded Varaždin and Croatian team.

Highly original cuisine
Jela koja pripremaju temelje se na podlozi istraživanja originalnih lokalnih recepata uz tehnički savršenu i maštovitu uporabu najboljih namjernica, posebno ovdašnjih (vidovečko zelje, bučino ulje, svježe povrće, zagorski puran…) te ih stavljaju u poziciju kreatora i predvodnika nove varaždinske kuhinje, temeljene na načelima vrhunske gastronomije, tradiciji lokalnih jela i namirnica oplemenjenih primjenom najnovijih svjetskih trendova i tehnika u pripravi hrane. Također, smatraju da kuhinja mora biti visoko autorska kako bi se i svakodnevna domaća jela pretvorila u gastronomske spektakle. Svoj prvi samostalni restoran, iz navedenih razloga, doživljavaju kao varaždinsku utvrdu vrhunske hrane. Dobar vam tek!

Anđelko Levanić
Born in 1978 in Varaždin. Until 2015, he worked in the kitchen of Hotel Turist and is one of the most awarded Croatian chefs. He is the national champion in culinary arts in 2011 and a long-term member of the Croatian culinary team, with whom he participated in numerous world culinary competitions. His special interest is directed towards the research of local dishes and ingredients, in the flavors of which he seeks space for creative culinary expression.
Zlatko Novak
He was born in 1989 in Varaždin. He worked in the kitchen of the Turist Hotel, and he also gained experience working in the Gasthof in der Au restaurant in the prestigious German resort of Starnberg. He is the national champion in culinary arts for 2013 and a long-term member of the Croatian Culinary National Team. He is the owner of a silver and two bronze medals from the Culinary Olympics and the World Culinary Cup. His interest is particularly focused on culinary artistry and research into new cooking techniques, especially molecular cuisine.
